Great Second Week At Logos

Remember advanced debaters to come up with 3 case ideas before next Wednesday.
Club Starts Wednesday!
We are so excited to be starting back again in Tallahassee! We will be starting speech promptly at 12:00noon. After that, we will begin debate at 2pm and end at 4pm. There will be Skype available for debate please email Andrew Baisden at apb1991@gmail.com about skyping into debate at 2pm.
Correction: No speech this week.
Debate Club Start Dates
We will be starting both Beginning Debate and Advanced Debate on September 1, 2010 at 2:00pm. The first few meetings may not be at the church. Those details will be posted and sent out soon.
Club Starting Back Soon
We will be meeting on Wednesdays this year. Our new times will be 12:00-2:00 speech 2:00-4:00 debate. We will have a date really soon. For speech everyone will be together for debate we will be split up first semester between beginning debate and advanced debate. Advanced debate's first meeting will be September 1st.

Regionals Meet Up
Hey guys. We are going to eat dinner together as a club after registration on Monday. If you want to eat dinner before, that is fine but please still come. Not only are we going to make sure everyone is ready, but we are also going to just relax and pray to make sure God teaches us what we need to get out of the week.
Open House
Hey guys. Our open house this year will be on May 11'th at 2:00pm. So start spreading the word! Practice will be the same day at 12:00. Andrew will be sending out assignments by club next Tuesday.
Club This Tuesday Prep For Regionals
We have 2 weeks to get ready for Regionals. We have ballots to go over and cases to discuss. There will be no logic classes till after Regionals.

End Of Year Party 2010
Hi LOGOS families.
Looking at our LOGOS calendar and Dan's work calendar has me thinking far off for an end of the year family party. Look at May 15th and give me feedback. By then maybe the sun will have warmed up our pool as well. I am thinking about 3:00 but I am flexible.

No speech, logic, or debate on Tuesday. Rest up and study for SC. Also if you made any briefs share them with Andrew so he can send them out to everyone before Tuesday.

Our club participates in the National Christian Forensics and Communication Association (NCFCA) which is a Christian Homeschool Competition Speech and Debate League.

Mission:
This is a Christian Speech and Debate club for homeschooled students that compete in the National Christian Forensics and Communications Association (NCFCA) League. We support the mission of NCFCA which states that formal speech and debate can provide a means for homeschooled students to learn and exercise analytical and oratorical skills, addressing life issues from a Biblical world view in a manner that glorifies God. The competitive arena gives students the opportunity to refine their speech and debate skills so that they can take those skills and use them in the community to communicate effectively for God's honor and glory.
